The iHeartRadio Music Awards is Back: Megan Thee Stallion, Harry Styles, and More Nominees Announced

After the 2020 showing of the iHeartRadio Music Awards was cancelled due to the onset of the pandemic, the 2021 edition is scheduled to broadcast live on May 27th from the LA Dolby Theater. Fox and iHeartRadio have released the list of nominees and we are not surprised to see it jam packed with all of the successful talents from the past year.

The top nominees include the Weeknd with nominations in eight categories, Roddy Rich and Megan Thee Stallion tied for second with seven nominations, and Harry Styles with six. However many more artists across multiple genres are set up with multiple nominations. Pop female sensations such as Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande, Billie Eilish; K-Pop groups BTS and BLACKPINK; and country stars Blake Shelton, Luke Combs, and Maren Morris are just a few of the talents in competition for the coveted heart shaped trophy.

Viewers of the upcoming season of “The Voice” are in for an exciting new member in the coach chair. Ariana Grande announced on her Instagram the other day that she is “beyond thrilled, honored, and excited” to serve as a team coach for the show's twenty-first season.

The 27-year-old “34+35” singer joins three other professional music artists: John Legend, Blake, Shelton, and Kelly Clarkson, in formulating a team of talented aspiring artists. The contestants train and perform every single week in competition to win a hundred thousand dollars and a record deal with Universal Music Group. Ariana Grande shared her enthusiasm for this new undertaking with NBC, stating “I have been a huge fan of the show for such a long time….I can't wait to go head-to-head with the incredible coaches, get to know these new artists and help to take their craft to the next level."

The Ratatouille Tik Tok Musical Comes to Life on New Year’s Day To Benefit the Actor’s Fund

The Tik Tok community never fails to surprise us with their talents and capability to come together. Over recent months, their biggest project thus far has been creating an entire Broadway musical centered around the Ratatouille movie, a Disney-Pixar animated collaboration about a rat pursuing his dreams of cooking in one of Paris’ top restaurants.

What started out as a short catchy tune posted on the app for a meme, turned into a grand overture with other creators making full arrangements of chorus and instrumental parts. Suddenly, other creators such as @blakeyrouse and @sophiajamesmusic started creating more music to correspond with different scenes from the movie, such as “The Rat’s Way of Life”, an upbeat melody lead by the character Emile, and the jazzy brooding tune of Chef Skinner’s solo “I Knew I Smelled A Rat”.
