Halsey Adds Makeup Artist To Her Credentials with the Launch of Her New Makeup Line “About Face”

Singer, songwriter, dancer, activist and now makeup artist -what can’t Halsey do?! The ‘Without Me’ singer took to Twitter on Monday, January 4th to announce that she had been working on a brand new makeup line for about “two to three years” and her vision is finally coming to fruition.

The New Jersey native has been known to sport a variety of styles and bright colors at many events, both in her hair and in her makeup looks. Now, she has developed the brand “about-face” to share her love for makeup as an art and form of creative expression, and to break down the beauty standards that find colorful makeup too over-the-top and bold.

As explained by the creator and head makeup artist of the brand herself, “about-face” prioritizes having fun and being creative with makeup, rather than using cosmetics as a way to cover up imperfections in order to appear “flawless”. Therefore you will likely be seeing bold, sparkling colors in the products that consumers can use to create unique looks.

Halsey shared a video on Instagram to give her audience a glimpse of the makeup line, where she states “about-face was a baby of my own conception. And it’s special to me cause I’m not the face of some company, I’m the Creator, the Head Makeup Artist, and I hand selected every detail along the way”. The video shows some simple clips of the process of production for the photoshoots that showcase the makeup products on models’ faces, including the pop singer herself.

We are excited to see what the brand has in store for its first launch, as some of the products have already been announced to the public. While we hope 2021 will be a bright year, Halsey is definitely doing her part to make it happen!
