Exciting Changes at EAR: Doubling Down on Artist Development and Management
We at Elton Audio Records (EAR) are thrilled to announce some significant changes coming to our services on August 1st. These updates reflect our unwavering commitment to artist development, management, and music distribution. Here's a detailed look at what's changing and what you can expect moving forward.
A Renewed Focus: Artist Development and Management
1. Service Discontinuation and New Partnerships
To sharpen our focus on artist development and management, we are discontinuing several of our services, including Beats, Mix, Ghost, and Design. While these services will no longer be available directly through EAR, we are forming new partnerships nationwide to ensure our artists still have access to top-notch resources in these areas. This strategic move allows us to concentrate on what we do best—developing and managing artists, and distributing their music.
2. Revamped EAR Online
Our website design and management service, EAR Online, has been completely overhauled to align with the EAR Roadmap, our standardized business plan for all artists. The subscription tiers have been renamed and redesigned to better reflect the different stages of an artist’s career:
Solo: Ideal for emerging artists taking their first steps.
Artist: Perfect for those building their brand and audience.
Tour: Designed for artists actively performing and growing their fanbase.
Pro: Tailored for established artists looking to expand their reach and impact.
Each tier offers robust features to help artists manage and upgrade their accounts, find inspiration through innovative designs, and implement effective marketing and SEO tactics.
3. Free EAR Distro for Managed Artists
In a major update, EAR Distro is now free for all artists managed by EAR. This change eliminates annual subscription charges, though partnered distribution rates will still apply if relevant. Managed artists can schedule new releases, update DSP profiles, apply for publishing and sync opportunities, and explore national and international physical distribution options—all at no cost.
4. Enhanced Artist Hub
Artist Hub has been streamlined to prioritize the most essential tools and resources. EAR Cloud and Artist Shop have been removed to focus on Online and Distro, which are crucial for our artist management efforts.
The rebranded Artist News, now known as Artist Hub Notes, will focus on four main subjects:
Artist Development & Marketing
Business & Industry Insights
EAR Updates
Production & Gear
Additionally, the Resources tab now features quick links and suggested tools across various categories, including Portals, Image/Video Editing, Songwriting, Plugins, Samples, Royalty Analytics, and other essential tools.
Our New Direction and Slogan
As we continue to guide and support our artists, we are also updating our company slogan. We are officially retiring "your home for music" and adopting "We help artists gain a competitive advantage." This new slogan better captures the essence of our mission and the value we provide to our artists.
Stay Tuned for More
These changes mark a significant step in our journey to better serve our artists. Stay tuned for more updates and details as we continue to evolve and enhance our services. We are excited about the future and look forward to supporting your musical career with even greater dedication and expertise.
