From Quiet Kid to Music Creator
Yeong’s love for music sparked when he attended his first festival at 18. Growing up shy and reserved, music became his escape—and later, his passion. His artist name, a spin on his real name, Yong-Hwi, represents his journey of self-acceptance and confidence. After years of honing his craft, he finally took a leap, attending his dream music school, Icon Collective. Winning a remix competition there proved he was ready to step into the spotlight.
A Sound Like No Other
Yeong’s music sits in the sweet spot between chill, dancey, and experimental. Think lofi-textured synths meeting modern electronic grooves, influenced by everything from Japanese folk to UK garage to Studio Ghibli jazz. If you’re new to his sound, “Save Me” is the perfect first listen—blending vocal samples, rich melodies, and nostalgic energy into one unforgettable track.
Why Yeong Chose EAR
What drew Yeong to EAR? Our hands-on approach to artist growth and branding. Since joining, he’s refined his visual identity, leveled up his social media content, and learned how to bring cohesion to his brand. The biggest surprise? How much branding influences music success—something he used to just “wing it.”
Upcoming EP: A Fresh Start
Dropping February 25th, Yeong’s upcoming EP is a reflection of his journey—facing self-doubt, finding his artistic voice, and stepping into his next chapter. The tracks flow seamlessly, starting atmospheric and nostalgic before building to an energetic, dream-like finale. It’s a must-listen for anyone who loves immersive, emotional electronic music.
