Hailing from Ontario, Canada, Flower City (Jason Sliman & Matthew David De Sousa) an electronic/r&b/pop duo just released their first song titled “Good Vibes”. With tons of familiar tones and sounds from our favorite artists, the song resembles some of the best tracks from Major Lazer, Chainsmokers, Drake, and Zedd. Having this song be their first release already sets up their potential for years to come. In a way these guys (photo below) similarly resemble the early days of the Chainsmokers, which may interest you to look a little deeper into their musical journey.

Aside from this song being their first single, it’s hard to not expect the best coming from this group. Setting the bar this high with quality sound, and the familiarity we all crave and love, Flower City may be the next pop group. The exceptional lyric and vocal tonality is all thanks to Jason Sliman, the lead singer of the group. “We created the song together, we both grew up together and we always had a passion for creating music and we just recently decided to partner up and create under the name Flower City.” said Jason after asking him the background on their project. Matt De Sousa also had incredible influence on this tune, having produced “Good Vibes”. Based on his Instagram, it seems that Matt mainly works on writing songs on guitar, which explains the beautifully crafted riff playing through “Good Vibes”. Aside from Flower City slaying this tune, producer and engineer Sydney Johnson (prodbysydney) is responsible for the incredible mixing and mastering on this track. 

Another good point to bring up is their name. Where did that come from? Well apparently “Flower City” is just another name for Brampton, the city that the new pop duo grew up. Aside from all this, we strongly encourage you to listen to this song with great quality speakers, your headphones, or even the car stereo. Lastly, we just want to congratulate these guys for creating this incredible song. There’s only one way for this group now, and that’s up.
