Drake's Album 'Scorpion' Stings the Media

Within the past couple of weeks, Drake has had major success in the music industry with his newly released album, Scorpion. This release marks his fifth studio album, which received an overwhelming amount of support from his fans throughout the world. Featuring 25 new tracks including guest vocals by Jay-Z and an unreleased recording of Michael Jackson, it is no surprise that the album has become the first to hit the milestone of a billion streams within just a week and broke The Beatles’ record of songs simultaneously featured on Billboard’s Top 10.

Drake features a multitude of musical guests on his double sided album. Jaded features background vocals contributed by Ty Dolla $ign, Ratchet Happy Birthday features additional vocals by PARTYNEXTDOOR, Talk Up features Jay-Z with his own guest appearance, and the track That’s How You Feel contains additional vocals contributed by fellow rapper and artist Nicki Minaj. However, the most notable guest artist on the album has to be the King of Pop himself. Michael Jackson makes a posthumous appearance on the track Don’t Matter to Me with an unreleased cut of his vocals.

Overall, Scorpion contains a staggering tracklist and proves to be very personal to the rapper. It is evident that his music is more revealing, and he is putting an emphasis on the problems regarding society and the media. These facets, coupled with the tone of Drake’s voice and his hip-hop beats makes for another successful music release for the rapper.
